Specs: ASTM B209, AMS-QQ-A-250/8

5052 is the highest strength alloy within the common non heat-treatable grades (1XXX, 3XXX & 5XXX series). 5052 fatigue strength is higher than most aluminum alloys. In addition, this grade has good resistance to marine environment and salt-water applications. It has leading workability values. It may be drawn or rolled into custom shapes and its slightly greater strength in the annealed condition minimizes tearing that occurs in 1100 and 3003 alloys. Applications: General Engineering.
