6061 has most of the needed characteristics for wide range of General Engineering applications.  It offers a high range of mechanical properties with good corrosion resistance values. 6061 can be fabricated by most of the commonly used techniques including Machining, Drilling, Bending, Cutting etc The alloy is heat-treatable allowing to reach higher mechanical values.
