Specifications: ASTM B209, AMS 4045, AMS-QQ-A-250/12

7075 is one of the highest strength aluminum alloys available (vs 2XXX & 7XXX series) .  Its strength-to weight ratio is optimal for intense applications (such as Aerospace). 7075 can be formed in the annealed condition as well as heat treated state. Spot or flash welding can be applied. Arc and Gas welding not recommended. 7075 is available in the clad ('Alclad") form to improve the corrosion resistance with the over-all high strength being only moderately affected.
